Middle School at MCS

Montgomery Christian School’s approach to faith integration in the classroom is profoundly intentional and accessible. Through a holistic experience (mind, body, soul), the middle school is a context in which students are known, challenged, and coached by Christ-centered followers who love them during one of the most important formative times of their lives. With a healthy understanding of students’ middle school backgrounds and where they are headed into the upper school, the middle school model provides opportunities for careful, intentional support and growth for each child.

6th Grade: Students adjust to changing classes for the first time while enjoying more freedom and responsibility, and benefiting from constant support. We intentionally work with students to help build essential habits, such as managing material and completing assignments. advocating in the learning process and reflective practices.

7th Grade: Increased academic rigor challenges students to dig deeper, analyze text, and defend their ideas. Teachers introduce Socratic discussion and seminar-style formats that strengthen reasoning, articulation, and respectful dialogue.
