Kindergarten Christmas Field Trip

Montgomery Christian School Kindergarten students had the privilege of a holiday party at the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama.  The students were greeted by Santa’s Helpers then entertained by Chief Judge Marks, Judge Hawkins and Judge Adams. The students learned about the stars painted in the ceiling of the Historic Courtroom from Judge Dubina and Judge Pate.  Judge Huffaker, Judge Albritton and Judge Bryan interacted with the students in the Atrium to discuss the Pledge of Allegiance, the stars in the American flag and the patriotic symbolism of stars.  Later, the students enjoyed a hot chocolate bar, bingo, reindeer games, ornament crafts and cookie decorating.  Chief Bankruptcy Judge Creswell and Chief Magistrate Judge Doyle presented each child with their own copy of the book Song of the Stars. Lastly, the students were blessed with a wonderful lunch and reading of the Night Before Christmas.  It was such a special day with the U.S. District Court of Alabama.  All of the employees of the Court were incredibly gracious and welcoming to our students.
