Montgomery Christian School National Christmas Tree recognition in D.C.
Montgomery Christian School has earned a significant national honor, as their students' artwork is featured on the official Alabama tree in President’s Park in Washington, D.C., located beside the National Christmas Tree. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity was granted after Governor Ivey selected MCS to decorate the state tree, celebrating the unique culture, landmarks, and history of Alabama. A group of parents, students, and staff, including the Executive Director, Principal, and Assistant Head of School, traveled to Washington D.C. to represent MCS and see this incredible honor in person. The MCS ornaments join those from 59 states, territories, and federal entities in this beloved holiday tradition, made possible by the National Park Foundation and the National Park Service. The display is open to the public from December 6 through January 1, 2026. You can view our ornaments here! https://www.thenationaltree.org/ornaments/alabama/
